What To See:
Margao, despite being South Goa’s largest city, has little to offer tourists, but the surrounding area is rich with tourist sites. Of particular interest is the seminary at Rachol, a small Catholic farming community around 7 km from Margao. Founded by the Jesuits in 1580, the seminary is a work of beautiful architecture and house traditional Portuguese furniture and paintings. It also has a small museum with religious artefacts.
